Compare is free when both files have up to 2,000 rows. If either file is larger, the price is based on the largest file. One-off payment per operation, processed by Stripe.

How pricing works
MessyMatch is pay-as-you-go, one payment per operation. There is no subscription, no credit pack, no Pro plan and no automatic renewal. The same five-tier table applies to Compare, Merge and Anonymize. Split is always free with a daily limit. The free tier covers small files up to 2,000 rows.
- Drop your files and configure the operation as usual.
- If the operation is above the free tier, MessyMatch shows the exact price before you commit.
- Pay through Stripe Checkout, embedded directly on the page. No redirect, no stored card.
- Run the operation and download the result. Same browser-side engine as the free path.
- Need a receipt? Sign up for a free account and every payment is listed under Account with a downloadable receipt.
How pricing maps to real files
The price is set by the size of the operation. Below is what each tier covers for the three paid tools.
Free up to 2,000 rows
Quick reconciliations, small CRM exports, lab data. If both files are under 2,000 rows for Compare, or the total is under 2,000 for Merge, you pay nothing.
$3 up to 25,000 rows
Most everyday operational files: monthly exports, regional product lists, mid-size customer batches.
$7 up to 100,000 rows
Quarterly reports, marketing audience exports, ERP snapshots. Still well under the Excel cap, often above its comfort zone.
$15 up to 500,000 rows
Database snapshots, multi-year archives, large catalog migrations. Excel struggles here. MessyMatch does not.
$29 up to 1,000,000 rows
The hard ceiling. Beyond this, split the file into smaller chunks with Split (free) and process them in order.
Pricing FAQ
Is there a subscription?+
No. Every operation is paid once. There is no recurring charge, no auto-renew and no card on file unless you opt in to save one for faster checkout.
Is the same pricing used for Compare, Merge and Anonymize?+
Yes. One tier table for everything that costs money. The unit (rows for Compare and Merge, characters for Anonymize text mode) can differ, but the tiers are identical.
Are there discounts for volume?+
No. The largest tier ($29 up to 1M rows) is the ceiling. If your file is larger, split it first with Split (free) and process the partials in sequence.
How do I get a receipt?+
Sign in with a free account before paying. Every operation under that account is listed in Account with a downloadable receipt. Anonymous purchases still receive an email receipt from Stripe.
Can I get a refund?+
Yes for operations that failed for reasons on our side. Email hello@messymatch.com from the address you paid with and include the operation ID from the receipt.
Do you offer team or enterprise plans?+
Not today. MessyMatch is a transactional tool, not a team SaaS. If you have a recurring batch job that needs special handling, write to us and we will look at it case by case.
